Experience Pulse Diagnosis for Self Healing Course This March
Nadi Vigyan is the ancient science of feeling the pulse to understand imbalances in the mind and body. It can be also used as a simple but profound technique for self healing -calm the emotions, balance the mind and body at its very source. One can even touch one’s soul through this simple technique. I was first introduced to Nadi Vigyan - learning to take the pulse for self healing in 1991 in Holland with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on a small Ayurveda course. I fell in love with profound depth of information and ability to heal with one’s self referral attention on the pulse - consciousness connected to one’s body… Our clear and settled attention can alter our health in a very effortless manner with pulse taking. As an experience licensed trauma therapist, I found this to be immediately effective for clients stuck in rumination, panic attacks and more. It also helps with knowing what is helpful and non helpful with food, behavior, people and environments, truly a tool to know oneself. I found that even with a few minutes, my clients could calm themselves down when talk therapy didn’t because taking the pulse is grounding, physical, and connected to mental awareness.
Many years later, I had an opportunity to continue to study pulse with two of my teachers of Ayurveda - master healers, Vaidya Ramakant Mishra and Dr. Raju which further deepened this profound experience. Studying pulse is a life time of research into the depths of the many layers of one’s physiology and subtle body. Pulse reading instruction can be shared one to one or in a small group either in person or online. It’s starts with the basic instruction on the superficial layer with both knowledge and mostly experience on your own pulse. Classes are based on your experience but there is a sequence of how the knowledge unfolds to discover the deep and subdosha levels and more. The purpose of this instruction is for self healing and balance. The more you practice on your own pulse the better you will become at understanding what is happening with the elements and changes in your physiology. For this reason, many parents enjoy learning this for health prevention for the whole family. This is not a course to teach you how to read other people’s pulses, it’s more of an experience of the deepest layers of your mind/body. . Over time with practice, then it may be expanded to practicing on other pulses with family members and friends.
Classes are between 45 minutes to 1 hour. One may choose to purchase one to one sessions to learn pulse for $125 or opt for the 9 classes in full for $549 ($50 per class) with a few other students, we keep our classes under 6 people. Ideally, we meet once per week for best results with practice of taking one’s pulse several times per day for a few minutes each time but there is flexibility in instruction dates.
